Hello! I’m Lori.

I’m Lori Newman. I was born and raised in a small town in the Midwest. I graduated from Rockford Business College in 1995 with a degree in Health Care Administration and obtained my CPC Certification from Elgin Community College. Prior to my starting my own company, I worked for a couple different Chicago based billing companies working with different specialties, I also worked with Brookside Medical Group, which is part of Swedish American Health System in Rockford IL as a lead receptionist and registrar, and Sherman Health Care out of Elgin IL as an office manager and in billing. Some say I could do the work of 3 people!

I started my own company in September of 2000 with a strong desire to help providers battle the ever-changing world of insurance. I learned at a young age I was a good problem solver, paid attention to detail, and was a good leader that followed though. There really is no job that is too tough for me. 25 years later here I am, I have clients coast to coast, and I absolutely love what I do. It’s been a journey!

Medical Billers are a need and an important role of a providers practice. I take my work very seriously and aim to please and exceed your expectations. I have various experiences in different specialty areas. 

In 2011, I lost my husband in a car accident. He was also my client (Paul Newman, LCSW), My family is a survivor of trauma. From there I raised 4 kids on my own and I moved to Austin TX, where I currently reside, all while running and growing my business. (I needed a change, and I don’t like temperatures under 60 degrees). So, TX was a good change and the answer. My children are now grown and all doing well.  I do travel back and forth between the two offices.  I’m grateful for my staff in IL and TX. I couldn’t do my business without them. It is a lot of hard work and dedication training and maintaining office staff.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, going to car shows, golfing, spending time with family, listening to music, or being a food connoisseur and trying new restaurants.
